Welcome to our class page. Come and look at all the exciting and fun things we have been doing in school!
The children in Year 1 and Year 2 went on a visit to one of of local Mosques. The Imam talked to us all about the Muslim faith, the traditions and celebrations. He told us about the 5 Pillars of Islam as well as showing us their Holy Book The Qur'an. We had an excellent opportunity to hear the Call of the Prayers as well as watching the 1 o'clock prayers. We had an excellent afternoon and are very thankful to the Imam and his staff for their hospitality to us all.
This week we are looking at the artist Paul Cummins. He was most famous for his ceramic poppies that were displayed at the Tower Of London. We are going to be learning all about him, his life and his work. We will also be making our own ceramic poppies that we will put on display on the hall board. Keep an eye out for pictures of the exciting things we will do...
