Friday 11th February was the final day of our Mental Health Week. It was also our 'dress to express day', where children came in clothes that 'expressed' something about them. We had some lovely colourful outfits, a drummer and some great football kits!
Our theme this week was 'Growing together' and we have been thinking of ways in which we help each other grow in our emotions and mental well-being.
As part of this, we have had some 'working together' projects to complete. As a team, we have completed a 200 piece jigsaw and created our own lego village.
With the help of each other, this was a very enjoyable project with a great outcome!

I am honoured and excited to be leading our Year 3 team on our wonderful journey of learning this year.
We have an exciting year ahead, with plenty of fun learning to do!
We have spent the first few weeks of the term thinking about where we are and what we would like to achieve on our journey together. We have been thinking about 'The power of YET'... Setting goals with a positive mindset of what we can achieve!
Take time to speak to your child about 'The power of YET' and ask them to explain it to you... it is a very powerful tool in achieving a positive mindset and a 'I can' approach to learning. 🤗
Our learning this term is based on the question 'What on earth?'
Within this question we will be exploring who first lived in Britain (StoneAge onwards) and where on earth Stone henge is.
We will be exploring some fantastic Power of Reading books, linked to our question, and completing writing tasks from them.
This half term we will be writing stories, poems and diary entries.
Our current learning includes investigating light sources, reflection and the sun.
Ask your child to count to 10 in French...
Can they do it YET? ...
Don't worry if they can't, they understand the power of YET!
We have been carefully considering how we can aim to be Jesus' hands and feet on earth, in school and at home. We are considering God's message through the Holy scriptures, thinking in particular about God's messages about family, home and love. 👪 👩👧👧 👨👧👧
We have been creating our own prayers 🙏, thanking God and asking for His guidance in school and at home.
