Rainforest Pictures Inspired by Henri Rousseau
As part of our IPC topic on saving the rainforest, we have been creating our own rainforest pictures inspired by the French artist Henri Rousseau. We studied a variety of his art work and explored how he used different colours, shapes and charcoal to create his images.
What a fantastic Science unit we have had this half term. We have been learning about sound. We have learnt about Pitch and Amplitude. We have compared sound wave diagrams. We have had a fun hearing test. We have also learnt about how the ear works and learnt about parts of the Ear. We have had investigations about effective soundproofing materials. We even made our own string telephones and used them to investigate how sound travels. We have also ended the Science unit as Eco Warriors as we have all brought in 'junk' to make some cool musical instruments!
