Stone Age to Iron Age Day
Exploring Sources and Evidence, How Metals impacted/changed things and what era was the best!
We dove right into being archaeologists for the day! Unpicking, solving and discovering clues surrounding the Stone Age to Iron Age! We created a timeline across the ages and even looked through poo to discover their diets! We physically explored the impact that metal had on that period and how the sources provide evidence. Throughout the morning, we got a chance to experience each era and as a class we decided that in fact the Iron Age was the best out of them all! This was due to the understanding that their abilities grew and their knowledge grew further!
Neutral Venue visit - Linking Project!
What an exciting day we had! Year 3 have an amazing opportunity this year to connect with another school just outside of our local area in Whitefield! Our linking school is St Michaels RC Primary on Ribble Drive! Over the next couple of terms, they will come and visit us at our school and we will have the great opportunity to go and see their school for the day! We were able to meet for the very first time today at a neutral venue in Bury. We played games together, sang songs, created posters to help the environment and even made new friends! We are so excited to see St Michael's again soon!
