Year 4
Year 4 have had an exciting start! We have dome some wonderful activities to start our year together. Here are some photos of a problem solving activity we did. The task was to build the tallest tower out of limited materials. We then reflected on our design and talked about what makes an effective team.

Making our instruments
In Year 4, we have been doing some fantastic work in Science learning all about Sound. We have learnt about: how the ear works; how sound travels: investigating soundproofing and learning about pitch to name just a few things. We have made string telephones and also made our very own pan pipes! To finish off a totally awesome topic we have been making our very own musical instruments from household rubbish to be environmentally friendly but also to improve our design skills. :)

In RE this half term we are learning to know and understand:
- That self-discipline is important.
- About celebrating growth to new life through self-discipline.
Year 4 visited St. Marie's RC Church for a guided tour by Father Francis.
Here are our Prayer Leaders leading Collective Worship.
Year 4 made Christingles and then we had Collective Worship using them to help us say our prayers.
