Handa’s Surprise ๐๐๐๐ฅ
This week Barnaby visited Kenya. He brought us back a lovely surprise! He brought lots of delicious fruits, some beautiful clothes and a special story called ‘Handa’s Suprise’. We had lots of fun completing all of the challenges that Barnaby Bear set for us. We especially enjoyed tasting all of the delicious fruits!
Barnaby Bear’s adventures!
This term we have been travelling around the world virtually with Barnaby Bear. He has taken us to many different places such as the seaside, Poole, Mexico and Dublin. We have enjoyed learning about all of the different places that Barnaby Bear has visited. We also helped Barnaby Bear by making him lots of different forms of transport for him to travel to Mexico.
Ice lolly fun! ๐ฆ
Today we made our own ice lollies. We used our fantastic cutting skills to cut up a variety of different fruits. We then put them into our cups. Next we poured the juice into our cups. We spoke about how we could get the juice in the cup to freeze and we decided that the freezer would be the best place. The next day we checked to see if they had frozen and they had. We were so excited to taste them so we decided to sit in the sun together and taste them for our morning snack. They were delicious!
Childhood day celebrations!
Today we took part in lots of exciting activities to celebrate the NSPCC’s childhood day. We made smoothies by using lots of our favourite types of fruit. We also made some creative bubble art pictures. This afternoon we played lots of fun games with the parachute. We had a great day!
The little red hen ๐
This week we have been learning about the story the little red hen. We made our own bread just like the little red hen did in the story.
The gigantic turnip!
This week we have been exploring the story ‘the gigantic turnip’. We made our own turnip stew, just like the little old lady in the story. We each had a go at cutting up some vegetables. We then tried our turnip stew.
The Gingerbread Man!
The three little pigs ๐ท๐ท๐ท
We tasted the three bears porridge ๐ฅฃ
This week we have been learning all about ‘Autumn’. We looked at the story ‘we’re going on a leaf hunt’. We then went on our own Autumn walk/leaf hunt around our school grounds, to see what Autumn items we could find. We collected the items and put them into our bags.
Using the items that we collected, we made ‘Autumn people’. We spoke about and described our Autumn people, naming and describing the items that we used.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
