Ten Ten Theatre
On Monday 22nd June, the dynamic theatre group 'Ten Ten' visited our school for the whole day! They performed three plays throughout the day, each with a focus on a different element of our Catholic faith.
The day started with a workshop and performance for parents, who were able to gain a snapshot of the different performances and meet the coast. Following this, Years 3 and 4 watched 'Master and Servant' (exploring the theme of service) and Years 1 and 2 watched 'Freedom Fighter' (exploring rules and responsibility through the character of a superhero). Both performances were thoroughly enjoyed. Finally, Years 5 and 6 watched 'Called Up' which examined vocations and the effects of change within our lives. This performance was also thoroughly enjoyed by the children and staff.
Before each performance, the children explored the issues involved through power point presentations and the theatre company supplied follow up lesson plans to develop the themes further in class. A fun filled day had by all!
