Rozina Mahmood — Parent Governor at St Marie’s RC Primary School, Bury
I am proud to serve as a parent governor at St Marie’s, where both of my children are pupils. Everyone calls me Rozi, and I am always happy to connect with parents and staff. As an experienced pharmacist and digital health leader within the NHS, I bring extensive knowledge in governance, strategic planning, and quality improvement. In my current role as an ePMA Pharmacy System Manager, I lead projects that improve safety, efficiency, and outcomes across large healthcare organisations.
I am also completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Health Leadership with Imperial College London, further strengthening my leadership, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.
A recent memorable experience for me was climbing Mount Fuji in Japan — a challenge that taught me the value of perseverance and resilience, qualities I believe are important in helping children grow and succeed.
I am committed to supporting the values and community spirit of St Marie’s, helping to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to thrive academically, emotionally, and personally in a safe and nurturing environment. With my background in governance, problem-solving, and collaborative working, I look forward to contributing meaningfully to the continued growth and success of the school.
Key skills I bring to the role:
Strong governance and risk management experience
Strategic decision-making and collaborative leadership
Passion for child development, well-being, and inclusion
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
I look forward to working with the staff, and fellow governors to make a positive, lasting impact on the school community.
