Spring 1 - Bears and Beasts
Welcome to our Reception Class page where we will share what we are learning about as well as photos of our adventures.
In RE we will be listening to the final part of the Christmas story and learning about the visit of the 3 Kings. We will also learn about Jesus and hear some of the stories of the wonderful things he did.
In RWI the children have all been assessed and are all put into smaller groups to ensure the children can make the best progress.
In Maths we will work with the numbers 5 to 10. Counting, ordering and grouping these amounts. We will also begin to learn number bonds to 5 by heart.
Our topic is Bears and Beasts. We will begin the term by looking at the season of Winter and how this is different from Autumn. We will read We are Going on a Bear Hunt and the Gruffalo as well as learn about different bears, where they live and what they eat.
